Project Life week 3

Finally I have the time to share week three that I have finished awhile ago. Just did not take the time to take photo's because we had such lovely winter weather overhre. There was snow.. and we could go iceskating. Yeaaahhh.. we are dutch we looove iceskating.

The last week there was a lot going on if we could have anohter Elfstedentocht ! Typical dutch skating tour going through 11 little cities in the north and a length of 200 km. Crazy maybe but a great tradition. But Wednesday the word came out. Not enough growth of the ice that let it happen. All of the Netherlands dissapointed.. the last one was in 1997. So 15 years back. Would have been soo nice if it had happened again.

Now to project life again. Week three was again about christmas preps and so on. Jürgen put our Christmas star outside for the rirst time. It was soo nice to see it light in the evening ! Just lovely.

I keep on changing my style.. since I see sooo many nice stuff on the www of all.. and some things I really like a lot.. want to put more in it.. so will see in the coming weeks if I can do that too.. and still like it.

Side one... Hanging out the star... playing wII before dinner.. swimming lessons from Fabian.. just normal stuff for us in a normal week.
WII playing is reallly hot from time to time. Fabian get to play half an hour till an hour if he wants too. If I don't set this timlimited he would be playiing all day long.. should not be ofcourse. Since we have soo many games.. you really can play all day long. Sometimes in the evening have the feeling to play.. and really could play all night long. Love to play Just Dance.. even when I suck on it.. it does not matter.. it is fun !

The other side has a piccie of my workoffice. Around Christmas all the christmas lights are up and we have tons of wrong decorations. That really is so nice.. everything you don't want to have at home..we put on here. The room is lighted only by Christmaslights. Specially early in the morning it is soo nice to see ! So cozy.. and you get a special feeling when you walk in. Always sad when we take off again.

Jürgen building his christmas village is also in there.. He is really passionate about that.. and it always turns out great. You will probably see a piccie of the finished one also.

Will try to make photo's of week 4 and 5 soon.. since I also got them finished already !

Sunday again.. reveal day ! This week I found the sketch really hard.. struggled for the first time ! But it turned out ok !

Project Life week 2

To be honest.. I am really far behind on my project life.. I started already in december.. and just recently made week 3... oops.. But I love it and don't want to give my any pressure. it should be fun.. and it is fun ! Never thought a project like this could give me so much fun and I would take that many photo's of our daily life. Alway said nothing much is happening in our lives but it appears that there is a lot goin'on in my life !

Everything of Fabian is documented and I even keep the silliest things about him. That really is sooo nice. So I will keep going althought I don't know if I will post bravely every week about project life. I want to try to write more on my blog.. more about my life and not just post what I made this time. That is nicer to read for everyone and for myself. More attractive. I loved to write letters.. and they always turned out really long.. so why not tell more about life on my blog.

Now first to the second week of my Project Life. The piccie will be the wrong way around. Don't ask me why it isn't the normal way up, but it seems blogspot doesn't want to place it that way. It is the right way on my computer, so really silly.

This was a pretty boring week.. :)) Did not do very much.. and I really failed to make a lot of colour in it. Really want to change that. Really love the picture of the teabag. I am a very big teafan.. have a lot of flavours and when I saw this, I just knew it was perfect for the project. Than you see my lappie on the couch.. the place where I like to hang out and do some surfing on the net. My hubby cooking dinner every evening. I really want to see if I can change with futher weeks and put something on the photo's too. Make it more mine. Have to get use to it still.

Here is the other side of this week. Fabian sent out his invation for his birthday party. Since he is a very big Cars fan.. he really wanted these. I was glad to get one too and saved it for the project. He was so excited to spread them It was his first one with friends from school.
One that could not fail in here.. is our little rabbit called Hobbel. He is already 9 years old, and that is a huge age for a little rabbit. So he should be in.
Than you also see abit about our christmas deco.. How Fabian helped me. It is hard to read when you are not dutch because journaling in also in Dutch.

I really hope you like my project life. It is real fun. Wanted to score some Becky Higgins products yesterday. But the prices turned out to be so incredable high that I won't do it. It is a real pitty, but the shipping and TAX are out of proportions, so have to find another way to get my hands on it. Grrr.. it not nice because I really want them. Well let see what there will come on my way.

Project Life

I am really busy catching up with my project life.. I really like it and take photos like crazy. Week three is finished now.. but I started at the beginning of december already.. so have a lot of cacthing up to do. No worry.. will catch up.. and will not put any pressure on me.
Still have to make a photo of what I made of week 2 and 3 .. but the weather was dark overhere.. so the pictures where nothing. So this week they promised us some nice sunny and cold weather.. so will show it this week !

The only problem I have, is printing out the journaling cards on the right size. I really struggle with them.. but I think I found away ! Would be time.. because I collected many free printables online.. but could not print them. Now the printer at home is not going.. so... printables are not on my good side yet. But that will come. My hubby already said.. if he ( the printer) is not going to work.. we will buy a new one !! So.. the struggle does not continue much longer I hope !

Hopefully the Becky Higgins products will arrive soon at Amazon.co.uk because I really want them. They are soooo yummy.. so maybe I go slow because I am waiting for these :))

Now that I am doing this I noticed that my life is not as boring as I thought. Well not boring.. but I was afraid I won't have enought to put in the project life. But that isn't the case at all. Yesterday my man went to the swimmingpool and hubby saved the ticket of the pool !!! It is for your project he said ! How good it that ! He is thinking about it too. Really like that.

Also see nice ideas with other people I would love in mine project too.. so collecting more and more ideas. Just love it.

This morning we got up.. and we had some snow the first time this winter ! How lovely is that. We waited for this. It is turning cold finally also. We had a lot of rain overhere and that really is soooo boring. You cannot go outside than, I really hate to get wet !
Took a piccies of my son in the snow this morning. He really loves snow. Cutiepie !

Now I am at work.. it is not so busy.. so I had the time to blog. Not happens often.. soo.. now I am off.. to do some work again. Will be back this week to show how I did my PL the last two weeks !

Project Life

Overhere in the Netherlands Project Life has taken a growth like you cannot imagine. It is so nice to see all the ladies here inspiring each other and keep eachother going.
It is now a group of 125 ( I believe) who are together doing this. There are probably more.. but they are not all in this group.. or don't know from the group. I really like being there. Seing what other make.. sharing ideas... just lovely.

Just now I finally made my week one. I already started on November 30. 2011.... I got my little photoprinter and can print when ever I want.. and that is just so lovely ! Like that a lot !

First I want to show you all the front of my album ... I was inspired by Janna Werner.

Still have to paint the inside of the album.. but that will come at a later time. Not that important right now :)

The first page is about us.. as a family.. with parents also in it because they really play a big part in our life.

And than the first week. I am still not completely happy... but that will be on the way. I have some great Ali journaling cards.. but cannot seem to get them on the right size to print them out for my album. I keep trying.. and it will be ok one day.. just don't know when. I get frustrated because I really want them in my PL.. maybe I need to get some help from friends or so..

I put some drawing from Fabian in.. that is so nice to have for later. Finally a good place to save them. Will not put everyting in he makes.. that really will be to much. But every now and than will be good.
So this was my first week.. more will follow soon !!!!

New reveal !

Today is a new reveal at Creative Scrappers. I just love being in that team. So many talented girls and such great sketches everytime again !! I just loooove it ! This one was very nice also. I made something different this time. Just couldn't help myself. Here is the sketch :

I saw awesome stuff online from Chrissy Tomlinson.. just sooo nice.. and she had a tutuorial.. and I just had to try it. So after work I went to buy some stuff.. and my mum also had some stuff that I could use.
Since my colleaugue has become a dad again I thought it would be nice to make him and his wife something for the little girl.
So I started.. and I love the result !! I will try this more often for sure. It is such fun to do !!
I also saw it with Felicitas and Janna.. two very talented ladies from Germany.. sometimes you just have to do it.

The photo really is not briljant but with all the rain we have over here these days I don't think I will get a better one.

Today it is really stormy all day. The wind is going like crazy and every now and than the rain comes down real hard. NO fun at all. Glad that I don't have to leave the house today. So.. did some stuff for my project life.. like pimping my album. Not finished yet.. so be patient. Have to order the photo's also and adjust some page protectors but cannot get our sewingmachine to work. so I have to ask my hubby. Really not handy with that. So as soon as I can make a normal nice picture of it all I will do !

I don't know what I do wrong.. but somehow my blogtitle does not get another color.. and the name won't come in the middle of the banner.. if there is someone who can help me... it is soooo welcome. I am really not good at these kind of things.. as long as it is easy.... I can do it.. but when it gets deeper.. I really have no clue. I try to.. but it just isn't my thingie ! Well.. cannot be good at everything right :))

Did some scrappin'again. I really love to do summer pictures when the weather is rainny. It makes me wanna go back to summer again.. although I really like wintertime. But overhere it is only raining.. and now snow at all... hopefully we will get some this year Or next year.. because.. white Christmas is not going to happen overhere anymore !!

Here it is.. my scrap this time ! Used Amy Tangerine.. just love that !! So joyfull !

Christmas is standing right before.. and I am really busy. Short after Christmas it is Fabian's birthday.. so a lot to do. But hey.. it is nice !! We all are off next week ( just work on Friday) and we will relax a lot together. So nice to be together and relax some days.

Somehow lately I have not been to much scrapping. Ofcourse I make the sketches for Creative Scrappers which I enjoy very much.. but that seems almost all. THere is alot to do these days.. and days fly by so quick.
A teacher at school is leaving and I am organising things for her present.. which takes me more time than expected since not everyone delivers on the deadline. We only miss three.. which of one I know they have more important things on their head... so .. don't think that will come.. and I won't ask for it.

Now I am looking how to do it. My friend Marian give me a good idea.. which I will do.. Thx Marian.. that really save me a lot of time !!! But still.. ofcourse.. I want it to look good. When it is finished.. I will show for sure !

This layout I made some time ago. The pic is from 2010 in the middle of the year or so. Still love these fotos. He was so cute that day.. ahahahah ( don't everyone say that about their on child !)

Christmas decorations are on.. and I really love this time of year. All those lights that are in the house.. candles buring.. cold outside.. enjoying a hot cup of tea.. enjoying eachothers company. Yeah.. winter is for sure my season !!!! So now all we miss is some snow. Maybe we will have some this year. We will see.
Christmascards are coming in.. and I still have to write them.. maybe tommorrow night. It is not my fave work.. although I really like getting them :))

Workshop .....

This layout I made with a workshop I followed at the 2 frollein. It was really nice to follow this workshop. Althought I know a lot already.. somehow they make it fun to follow. Till now there was just no time to make them.. but I put everything on my pc and than I can make it now. This was about two colours that do not seem to match. ... although I think green and blue go great together !
It is so fun these workshop two weeks the organize.. so take a look on their blog.. and maybe you can follow one too.. but it is in german.. so german skills are necessary.

Today is Sinterklaas here in Holland.. officaly it is tommorrow.. but he will bring his presents here today. It is a real dutch tradition for childeren.. and it's so nice. Fabian still really believe in Sinterklaas.. so he is soooo excited. Later my parents and uncle will come here to celebrate.. so it will be nice !

Familie fotoshoot

Two weeks ago we had a family fotoshoot. My dad really wanted to have some pictures of the 5 of us. Since we never had them. Now that he has been really sick he realized he really wanted this !
We had fotos of Fabian taken last year by a girl my dad knew from his rehab last year. She really makes very nice piccies. So we asked her if she could make fotos of us. She said yes.. and it took awhile before we could make fotos. Once it was cancelled because of rain.. than my dad became his new hip..and so on.. but two weeks ago on saturday it finally was the day ! The sun was shinning and we were really lucky.. because the last two saturday's were really bad.

I wil show you one foto of us.. the files are so large that I would have to compress them to show.. and since I am not so handy.. I will only show one.

It is so nice to have these.. so you will see them come by on a scrap.

Nothing scrappy to show today. The weather was so dark that the foto's I took really turned out bad. And I cannot show them. So when it is a bit better.. will make foto's. The deadline for Creative Scrappers is coming up also. Have the layout ready.. but not a good foto of it yet. So hopefully I can make that today !

Last week I have been busy preparing project life for 2012. I really got infected. I have seen so much great inspiration online. It is just to bad that the stuff of becky isn't in Europe. Really hope it will get here real soon. But I have some protectors that are also very nice. So started it with them. So let 2012 begin ! I am ready :):)

Online Workshop

It has been awhile.. did some scrapping ofcourse.. but just did not have the time to take pictures. I was dark when I got back from work.. and than you just don't get the best pictures.. so this weekend.. I finally took some pictures. Not that the weather is that great. It looks foggy all day.. it just doesn't get real sunny or light.. :((

The last two weeks I did a great online workshop again. Real nice. I already knew a lot of what was thought.. but that did not matter. The sketches and ideas were really nice.. and that was the most important.

This is the first layout I made.. there is another but I did not finish that yet.. and two were not made yet.. but I have the sketches and still can go in the classroom untill the end of November.. so I will be sure to make them.

Now I am also starting up Project Life for 2012. I just fell in love with the idea.. and a group of dutch scrappers are starting all in january.. and I decided to join. I already got the album and some protectors.. so I have some basics already.. decorating a bit already.. so probably in the next days I will have something to show.

These photos of Fabian are made this summer when we were on holiday in Austria ! He really wanted to sit there.. and said to us.. this is not only for girls.. I can also sit there. That was sooo sweet !!

Yesterday I had a great day with my mum, aunts and cousin. We went to a great hobby fair. They show a lot of hobbies.. and ofcourse there is also scrapbooking to show. Not as much as other years I had the feeling. But than on the other side.. my aunts are really in to cardmaking in 3D ( really yuk for me) so it turned out they stoot still at every thing that had 3D and went walking when my mum and I wanted to watch scrapbooking stuff. NOt real nice.. so I am convinced there was more but at a certain time my mum and I just didn't want to ask if they could stop.

Still I bought a little bit of stuff. Made our distress ink collection complete !!! Oh yeah.. we have them all now. Really great !! Bought some nice Snowfall papers from Bo Bunny.. and that was it.. sooo not much at all. Must say.. these days you can find so many things online.. that this shopping is not necessary anymore. A lot of the stores did not have what I wanted.. so will do some online shopping again. And if they had it.. it was a lot more expensive than online.. so why buy it there. I can buy more for the same money online.
But all in all.. it really was a fun day !!

Ofcourse I also have some scrapping to show. This layout I made a while ago for a secret scraplift.. have no clue if it is finished yet.. but since it is sooo long ago, I thought I just will show it. This picture is made in the Stuttgarter Zoo Wilhelma. Just the most beautifull Zoo I ever seen.. with a lot of nice old details. So when we are visiting Jürgens parents we normally go there. Fabian is showing here how big he is !!

As you all might know.. I am following the 2 Frollein.. I love their work.. and they are giving another workshop round. So I am in again. They made a great inspiration book.. and for me that was the thing I had to see to get started with something like that. So I did.. when I am on a roll furter.. will show some piccies. NOw they made this great layout with colors.. My hands are icching..so maybe today I can make something with that.

And than this sunday.. the first layouts of the new CT team of Creative Scrappers will go online. Really looking forward to that. For mine you have to wait a week longer. But this team is also very great !!!

I was away for to long from my blog. But I was incredable busy at home.. and I was just being happy to be a part of the Creative Scrappers team.. so was making my sketches... so you have to wait a little bit long to see the result on the blog.

Last saturday we went furniture shopping. Normally I really like it.. but since Jürgen is no fan of it.. well you can imagine how it goes than. Hubby walking like crazy through the store, telling me he likes nothing he sees.. and me.. wanting to sit down in some chairs... Still.. we haven't found a new chair for our livingroom. This saturday the shopping story will continue. Hope we will find something real quick !! Something we both will like.

We did buy Fabian a new bed. He still has a "little" bed like 120 cm long.. and it is becoming to short. So I saw this great high bed from him. Jürgen ofcourse had to see it. He liked it also.. so.. we bought. Next week it will be in our home and it can start... building up and breaking down. He is already very thrilled that he will become a new bed. With stairs.. that is the ulimate thing for him.

Of course I have done some scrappin' too. Some I cannot show yet.. but this one I can. The cherry earrings from Fabian and his grandpa. Fooling around those too.

I used a Creative Scrappers sketch for this one.. but don't know which one anymore :(

Since I was on holiday last week.. no scrappin' at all for me. This time I did not bring any scrapstuff with me. Just enjoyed walking throught beautifull towns.. watching some culture and doing some photography ! Always nice to do these things.
But I am also glad to be home again, just with the three of us. Glad tommorrow is sunday and we have a day for the three of us to enjoy and relax.

I saw the creative team call on Creative Scrappers again.. just in time.. so I thought.. I just keep on trying.. who knows maybe some day I will be the lucky one !! You never know.
Recently I made some of their sketches again.. so... here is what I send in...

For this layout I used their sketch #173.. that was soo nice for these photos.

Than I used sketch # 174 for the next one.. just adjusted it a bit because of the amount of photos.. but hey it is a sketch !!!

Sooo cute how Fabian was in the courousel !! He just love those things.. and cannot get enought of it.

And the last one I send in was a real winter pic from almost two years ago when Fabian went on a little holiday with my parents. You can tell it is really cold !

Live is goin'good these days.. which makes me very happy !! I want it to stay this way. I have enough the last 1,5 years..

Way to long

It has been way to long since I last blogged. Somehow I did not came to it. Every time I thought let's blog there was something else coming up.

I did scrap in the meantime.. but from most things I have to take pictures... but here is one from two weeks ago or so.

It is a photo of my uncle and Fabian. Those two are real buddies. Here Fabian let my uncle feel how cold his cheek was from the icecream he eat.. such a funny couple sometimes.

Furter.. everything is finally going good overhere again. After a hard one and half years.. we are getting back on track. Sometimes I have nightmares of everything that has happened.. but that is getting less thank heaven.
Will blog again soon with more !!

You all know I am doing a online workshop. Did one in the summer that really was a big flop for me. So I hesitated to do this one. But I am sooo glad I did. Normally I would not have made this kind of Layouts. To much whitespace for me. But I like it a lot. I see and learned things I would have never trusted myself to do so.
Still have one more workshop to make.. and that again is a real nice sketch. The technique that is in there I already knew.. but hey.. that is not to bad. Saw some things that brought me to new ideas and that is why I am doing it.

Tomorrow there where will be more info about the next workshop. And I really think about doing that again ! It is sooo nice !

Germany scrapps

There is a german online workshop goin' on.. and since I like Felicitas and Janna and really want them to have sucess I signed up. Really was sooo excited to see what they came up with. And I can tell you.. it is great !! It is a basic workshop but I still see things that I learn !

First theme was how you make a layout and the basics.. and a great sketch with it. This is what I came up with :

The second theme was about placing photos and how to use it. Always good to see how others think of that.. and I also saw some nice new things ! You can always learn from eachother. And ofcourse a great sketch again !!! This my take on that one :

There are still two more to go with two sketches.. I am sooo curious what they made of that... so ... next week.. some more about Deutschland Scrappt !!!

Found a sketch.......

A couple of days ago I found this great sketch somewhere.. really don't know where I found it. And just loved it. So went to the the table and started.. I came out so easily. Sometimes you have that. Just go with the flow. Used some paper from MME ( think it is called Lime Twist)
They fitted so perfect with this picture. I had to scrap it because Fabian was really looking spotted.. He had no pain it was just a bit itchy every now and than. But hey.. that is only normal.
Love the way it looks ! Just keep looking at it.

Today I found some yummie washi tapes on my desk here at work. I ordered them and to save shipping my colleague picked them up for me. I cannot wait to start working with them.

I will not be online a lot from Wednesday I guess.. because it is hospitaltime for my dad again. He is getting his second new hip and we will visit him almost every night I guess for a week. So there won't be much time for blogging and scrapping. As long as everything goes well I really don't mind.

Lately I did some scrappin'but did not made any pictures yet. It was raining all the time here in Holland so I have to wait. Today the sun is shining again finally.. so I will make some piccies later of what I have made.

At the moment I am thinking about making a little mini about the month of September. I saw some great mini's on blogs.. and since mini's is not so my thing I have to get a lot of inspiration to make them. I really want to give it a try.. because it looks so cool with everybody else. No a nice theme.. and thought I would make it about the things in September.. things we do.. we buy.. we eat.. etc etc. That should be fun. Because a lot of you are doing that. So I will start making pictures and collecting.. and than start making a mini !!

Ofcourse there is still someting to show.

I came on the October Afternoon blog and saw this great sketch. Real easy but I like the way it turned out. Just lovely.

Next week the online classes of Deutschland Scrappt are starting.. really cannot wait to see what the girls made of it.
I expect more than the SummerCamp brought me.. it was not what I expected and costed waaaay more. So let's see next week.

As you know I just loooove the sketches of Creative Scrappers. Also tried two times to get in the team.. but unfortunately did not make it. But that does not mean I will give it up :))
This sketch (sketch 167) I also loved but took me a bit longer to make it ! I just could not decide what foto's to use for it.
Finally I found some old piccies of my dad and decided I would use those !

Although they are old piccies I decided not to scrap them in vintage colors but in yellow and green, because I liked it so much ! Think it turned out nice ! Just love this one myself ! :)

Yesterday the new sketch of Creative Scrappers came online. Just loved it right away and had to make it also yesterday. Just got some new papers from Authentique that were perfect for some winter piccies.

I also used a technique that I learned or saw at the SummerCamp of Celine Navarro. ( as shame.. but it is the first thing I used)
The piccies is more than a year old but this just fitted so great !!!

I still have so many photo's of our holiday from last year.. that I started scrapping them finally when we were on away. It is just so relaxing to do that.

These photo's where also made last year. It was so sweet to see him sit there. Just exploring everything that was there.

I used some yummie October Afternoon Rocket Age. That is such great boys paper. You got a love it.

Lately two ladies from Germany are really inspiring me. They are nice and really are making such great stuff. They also are planning something. Don't know what yet but at August 15th I will know more. Hope Holland kann also join, because it is called "Deutschland scrappt"( germany scrapps) Janna Werner and Felicitas Klink they are such creative girls. So let's do it girls.. just like you very much.

This picture was made two years ago when we were on holiday in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. Since we were going there this year too I had the idea to make the same picture to see how much Fabian has grown. But bad luck.. when we went there he already had his cast and there were a lot of people wanting to get in to listen. So.. no picture. He could not sit in this time. So instead of a double lo it became a single one.

Back from holiday

Soooo time flies when you are having fun. We had 3,5 weeks off from work and now my first working day is behind me already again. When you are off the days are even going faster I believe.. but think everyone has that same feeling.

Our holiday was great. We went to Austria and that was awesome. The first 1,5 weeks the weather was really nice and sunny, so we spent a lot of time outside. And that was really lovely because back home it rained during that time. So we were glad to be there. Did some relaxing, went to a show with predatory birds .. and than was really awesome.

We also went on a boattrip on the Wörtersee. Fabian really wished for that so we did it. It was a very long trip but he was happy afterwards. So than it is fine.

The last week the weather wasn't that great. We had two days of rain and it was very cold. Only 15 degrees Celcius. So really not warm. We even had to wear sweaters. And that is not what you want when you go on holiday. Than on Monday before we went home Fabian hurt himself and has a tear in his bone of his foot. So he has a cast now around his leg. Tommorrow we will go to the hospital here and hope he may walk again. That would be so nice. He is real heavy to carry.

And ofcourse I did some scrapping when I was on holiday. It is just so relaxing.. hahaha

One other nice thing to mention. Before we went on holiday I went to Scrapbooking Stuttgart where Felicitas was giving a workshop and we got to meet. It was soo nice to meet her in real life.. although it was very short. I think we got along and it would be nice to meet her again when I am there again.

Not to long ago I joined a german messageboard to meet german scrappers since I am married to a german guy. I spend a lot of time in Germany to visit family of my DH there.. and it would be so nice to meet some of them. So I joined. Really like it there.
They organized a scraplift and since I love that I joined.

Lately I play a lot with paint, distress inkt, glimmermist.. It is just so much fun.
Also this time. Used green glimmer, victorian velvet distress inkt.. and pumic stone distress to stamp with.. I just looove it. Some Echo Park paper with it.. and viola ...

My dad made this picture when he was goin' to get some strawberries.. don't know what blossom it is.. I believe it is apple.. but it could be cherry as well. But I love the colors. It is just soo beautifull....

Cars.....

You all know the movie Cars from Disney I think.. not long from now part 2 will come out.. and you are already guessing.. our little man really wants to go there.
So granddad promised to go there with him. He is asking everytime he sees my dad when they will go. It will appear in the movietheather on July 6th. So he will have to wait a little bit longer....

He really is a huge fan of those little ( pretty expensive) cars. But I got him a lot of second hand good looking cars. ( He also has new ones) Everytime he gets some money he saved it.. and when he has enough money.. he buys one. Sooo really a huge fan.

Here he was playing ( as so often) on the ground with his cars. Just could not do without a Lo of that.....

So as so many boys of his age. He loves Cars !!

Glad to have peace and quiet again

Finally our bathroom is ready !! No more working man in my house.. just peace and quiet again. I could not be more happier than I am now. It is sooooo beautifull !! It is fun to get in the shower again. Before we just had an awfull bathroom.. full of dirt that did not want to dissapear anymore when I cleaned. Now everything is so clean and white. Just love it.
Have to put in some details.. like the lamp and some accesoires.. .but did not find anything yet that I really liked.. so next week I will look again. Somewhere they will have something in apple green or aqua. Just have to search. Just want some bright colors there.. love that.

Ofcourse I could not clean that much when they were busy.. so what do you do when you have free time....... Right some more scrappin'.
This photo of Fabian is made on the opening of the schoolyear. They have a party called "Zomerfeest" and there is always something nice to do. So he climbed the stuff he never can climb on during schooltime because it is for the older kids.. He just loved it. "Look mummy.. I am strong", he yelled just before I took this picture..... Oh mannn.. do I love this little guy.

The rest of my life really is quiet.. and I like it...

Since I saw the DIY tutorial at the blog of Felicitas.. I just love making my own background every now and than. For this picture I just could not find the right paterned paper.. so I thougt I would make it myself.
Got my glimmermist.. my distressinkt and some acrylpaint.. and just started !!! Took some stamps from the lovely Tim Holtz and got some bubblewrappapper..

This is the result.. I was really messed up afterwards.. but it was sooo fun to do. There probably will follow more.. see that I get some more glimmer since my collection is not that big. I just want to practice more.. and experiment some more.. just love this.

Our bathroom is also almost finished.. just wanted to show you a sneak of it. I am really pleased with the result !!

Cannot take a shower tonight because of the wall that has been placed.. but tommorrow morning I will hit that shower for sure. Looking forward to shower at home again. it will be sooo very nice.
It is has been four weeks that I could hit the shower at home !! Friday it will be finished completely with heating in it. That will be so nice in the winter.. no more cold showers... ohhhhh looking forward to that also !!!

Made two challenges

Sometimes I really love challenges.. I need it..

This one I made for a challenge at a messageboard I joined not so long ago. They wanted to blow in some new life.. so did a two weekly challenge. This one was.. use a photo with grass on it and also add some extra green. Than I found some old holiday piccies.. and decided these would go well with this challenge. Love they way it turned out.

Than there was a challenge at the scrapdelight blog. This is the sketch..

Just loved it.. so I thought.. let's make it.. and make a kind of spread with the other one.. because the photo's are from the same holiday on the same day. I really enjoyed making it. You could see I am on a roll again.

For our bathroom.. it finally is getting somewhere.. it is not finished yet.. but we can shower on Sunday.. after more than three weeks.. that is sooo nice. Hopefully they will finish on Tuesday. Than I finally have my house back and clean all the mess. Please keep your fingers crossed.

Tired and wishing it was ready

Since three weeks our bathroom is being renovated. It really is a very small bathroom but somehow it doesn't seem to progress. Just last week when I came home from work ( I went home early somehow) the builder told me we had to little tiles... arrrggggggg... another reason not to get any further. So on Friday hubby and I went to the shop where we bought our tiles to see if they still had some. Lucikly they had.. but the ones from the floor had to be ordered. This wednesday they will come in I hope !!!
So this morning is was waiting for the builder to come.. and he called.. no today there is a problem somewhere else.. they will start again tomorrow. I am just to kind to say.. no... not somewhere else.. at our place. Sooo more delay. I really hope that it will be done at the end of this week. My house looks like a mess all the time.. and showering somewhere else all the time isn't nice either !!

Because of all this I don't seem to get any rest. I keep cleaning ( although it is dirty half an hour later) and mentally I am just tired of everything.

To relax I made this layout last week. The pictures where made in the Zoo in Stuttgart Germany last summer. We had a blast the three of us. It is such a nice Zoo..

As you might have noticed we haven't received many entries for Scrappassion last month. It seems that the interest to participate in the Scrappassion blogs isn't there anymore. Combine the lack of interest with some personal things Ria - the founder of the blogs - is dealing with and we can only come to one conclusion: Scrappassion will end on June 30, 2011.

It is a real pitty.. the last three years I really had a blast over there.. but some things just come to an end. Thank you everybody for joying us.. and thanks to all the wonderfull members of the blog.. I really like you all and hope we will see eachother in the future again.

This is my last take for the blog. Please look on Scrappassion for the challenge since I did not saved the picture for inspiration :(

It was fun to be a part of the team.. and now that this door closes.. I hope somewhere there will open an other one for me. That would be so nice. We will see.

On a messageboard I am at we had a secret scraplift !! I just loove to do this. It so nice to see what comes out of these things. This time they all were so very different. Fun to see. We have vintage scrappers among us that look trough very different but beautifull eyes. I tried to do a little vintage in my own way. And liked what came out of it.

This picture was taken last year on holiday. It is my uncle with our son. Fabian really copies things from my uncle and it was so sweet to see how they are walking together both with their hands on their back. My uncle always walks this way.. and Fabian just copied him. They are such a cute couple together.

My life these days are not very intresting... Our bathroom is being renovated so the mess in my house is just unbelievable. It is hard for me not to clean all the time. Today we won't have anybody in our home because the walls have to dry. Can hardly wait till the put the tiles on and it is finished.

As you could read in my last post I am trying to get in the Creative Scrappers CT team.. Since I love there sketches...
But I also send an Lo in that was not based on one of their sketches since I tought I could show something different also.

This picture was made when we were on a short holiday last year during Fall. It turned out sooo gorgeous.. but I did not had the inspiration or paper to do something nice with it till now. I bought this paper for the configurationbox I am making.. and this was left. So I grabbed and put this photo on and just loved it. It is kind of vintage.. and I just loooove it !!!!

Next week we will have construction workers in our house.. we are finally getting our new bathroom.. I am so looking forward to finally have it. We are planning this already for a long time. But the constructioncompany did not had time earlier. So let them bring it on.. can hardly wait to finally have a beautifull bathroom although it is very small !! Will show some photos when it is done.

I saw the design team call of Creative Scrappers.. and I decided to give it a try again.. so I am did my best to make something beautifull..
I know there will be many with me that will try to get on the Creative Team.. but I thought.. if I am not gonna try.. I will never make it. I really like there sketches and love to make them...
So it will be an honour if I will make the team.. not expecting anything.. because I would be to dissapointed if I would not make it.

When I was blogsurfing at the end of last week I came by this great blog of Felicitas Klink what an incredable talent german scrapper. I was really in love with the DYI she made about creating your own background.. so... I couldn't let it go by and try it ofcourse. Never did it before but she really inspired me.

So after some trying.. I came up with this lo. I really, really love how it came out. I for sure will do it more often.. since I like making this lo so very much. Will keep visiting Felicitas blog from now on.. She really inspired me and seems a very nice lady.

Since my friend Marian introduced me to the Tags.. I really like to make them.. I am just a newby to it but I really like it. I want to try more.. and do more.. so I will be making more of these little artworks.. it is just to nice.

I got these stamps for my b-day at the beginning of this month.. they are from our great Tim Holtz.. just loooove these stamps.. you can do som much with them.. I tried a bit with distress and it turned out okay. It can be a lot better in my eyes.. but on the way I will learn more..

A whole scrappy day

Last week I went to my mums to do a scrapday together. It was really nice to be creative with my mum again. It was so long ago. Since Fabian is in preschool we hardly get together to scrap anymore. I have to pick Fabian up to eat and than bring him back. No problem ofcourse.. but when I am at my moms time is just to limited to do that.. so we stay at home when he is in school. Now that he has his holiday it is scrappytime again.

THis is what I made and I really like this one.

I really like this photo. It was taken at the Zoo in Germany last summer. It is such a great Zoo in Stuttgart ( that is where my hubby is from) We love to go there.. this was Fabian's first time and he would like to go more often when we are there. So we are planning to do that. It is so nice. He likes to climb and there where so many possibilities there. So he enjoyed himself.. and so did we.

Now the little man is staying over for some nights with his grandparents. It is really quiet in the house. I am so used to hearing him talk to me.. and playing around !! But I know he really likes it there.. so let him enjoy hisself.

Lately I have not been scrapping that much.. there was always a lot to do.. so not much scrapping time left. But this weekend I really wanted to do some scrappin' again.
I took the photo's of Fabian of the shoot we had with him last september.. Just loove those piccies. They are so fun to see.

This one was soo funny. It was at the end of the shoot. Fabian stood on this table and started singing a song he learned at school. My lord is so big... ( in dutch.. mijn god is zo groot. So that is why I took this title ! I just could not resist.

Than another photo of the shoot... I just looks so cute I believe.

There is not much more to say about this photo.

For both layouts I used some amazing Crate Paper.. ( think toy box) Just love what Crate Paper brought out this CHA.. just amazing ! How can you not like it !!

The weather here is really beautifull lately.. so a lot of sitting in for me because of my allergie.. but hey.. it does not hold me back always.. A girl has to enjoy the weather also.

Challenge April Scrappassion

Lately I have been scrapping again.. not like crazy.. but just a bit. With this nice weather I really am not in the mood to sit inside the whole time. Now ( 17.15) the sun is going away in our garden and it is getting a little chilly. But hey.. I want to enjoy as long as I can.

Fabian is playing outside with the neighbourkid ( not my gave kind of kid.. but they same to get along ...)) Real long story why I don't like the kid.. but mostly it is his parents using us as their personal caretakers. And that is something I really don't like all the time !

This layout is made with a picture from a photoshoot that we had. I really like those photos very much and did not use very much of them. So it was time to use them. I got this MME paper and thought it was so right for it. I like the look I created. Got some new Tim Holtz stamps and they are just so gorgoeus. Cannot get enough of them.. but don't want to use them for every layout.. but you will probably see more of them

Lately I have been busy with a configuration box of Tim. With a friend of mine. It really gets nice. As soon as it is finished I will show it ofcourse... but since we only work on it together.. it will take sometime to get ready.. but love it very much till now.

My friend Marian makes tags.. real nice tags.. told her I could not do that... some how to little space for me. But she really got me into Tim Holtz stamps and than I start looking also at tags.. and thought.. hey.. why not.. let's try it.
She even brought me some tags to try it till I got them myself.. how sweet is that.

And here it is.. my very first tag.. I really like making it. It still misses some ribbon.. but don't know what to take yet.

It was a lot of fun making it. I want to get better at it.. because it is so nice to do. Maybe do some layering and so on.. that will be nice also.. let see what will happen. I am sure it is not the last one I made..

Time for a new challenge at Scrappassion

Today it is the first of the month again.. so time for a new challenge at Scrappassion. This month the challenge was really nice.. but not very easy.

Long time ago

It was almost a month ago that I posted on my blog. I did do some scrapbooking.. but somehow I could not show it.. secret scraplift.. present for Fabian's teachers.. etc. etc. Now... I can finally show something and that really makes me happy.

It was teachersday at Fabian's school.. so I decided to make something. I saw this cute birdcage in the Magnolia Ink magazine and decided that would be very nice to make for them. Filled it with some chocolates ( no piccie of it complete) I guess they really liked it. Don't know for sure.. because Fabian always says.. I don't know mummie.. hahahaha.

I know I was happy with the result !!

Life furter goes well.. sometimes really busy but hey.. that is my own fault when I don't have to work. Sometimes I just need to plan less. So starting now.. will do that.. ... than I have more time to do some scrapping which I like so very much.

My little guy celebrated his birthday at school today. He was so excited. We baked some cupcakes together and made them all about Cars.. he's fave.

This is what they looked like. Far from perfect.. but he was happy with them. So what does mummy want more. He was proud when he walked in the classroom. After school the whole class song for him under the birthday flag.. made you should have seen his face.. glowing all over. Unfortunately I cannot show the pictures because of the other childeren on it.

Furter I made a sketch on the SD messageboard. I saw it and thought.. Let's make it. I am very happy with it. Made with the MME Fine and Dandy.. just gotta love this paper for boys. There will be more lay outs with this paper for sure.

First of all I want to wish you all a very happy new year ! Hope it will bring you a lot of health and hapiness.
I really want our year to be better than 2010. That started off real bad with my dad beinig really sick in the first months of that year. I never believed something like that could happen to us. But it did. Luckly he recovered !! I am so happy that is still with us. So I really want 2011 to bring us more health !! That really is sooo important.. without health you are nowhere.
I also wish that my dad can walk without help from crutches. That would be wonderfull. He is doing his very best.. so I have good FAITH !!!

Faith.. is the word I used for the new challenge at Scrappassion. Because it is the first of the month again.. so time for a new challenge. A really nice one

I used the worth FAITH.. faith in me.. in who I am and who I wanna be. Faith in things I really want for life.. faith in my dad.. faith in God... faith in everyting in life.

Het moet home decor zijn, denk aan doosjes, fotolijstjes, oude canvassen, kaarsen, vogelhuisjes....kortom, laat je fantasie de vrije loop. Je bent vrij om het aan te kleden zoals jij wilt, dus niet speciaal voor de kerst, dat MAG wel!
Maak weer 1 goede heldere overzichtsfoto liefst op een witte achtergrond en sla je werk op met je VOOR EN ACHTERNAAM! Stuur dan je werk naar RIA en dan voor 31 December 24.00 uur. Vergeet je ook niet je blogurl erbij te doen in je mailtje?

Long time

It has been a long time since I last blogged. Somehow it seems all crazy or bad things happen this year.. first my dad.. now that he is going good.. crazy things happen at my hubbies job. People got fired and I am sooo glad he wasn't one that got fired. But still things are crazy over there. Strange things are happening.. and ofcourse I cannot talk about it.. because we are not allowed to. But it drives me crazy. It makes me sad. I can defenately say that 2010 is not our year !

The only thing I want is that things calm down. I want to go back to normal.. and have some peace and quiet. I am tired.. do not have much energy.. going in the survival mode for a long time.. it is time that I get out.. but than when I finally try to... something happens again. Ohhh well.. they always say.. what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.. so that will be !!!

Scrapping was not on my mind lately.. but I am getting back because it is so relaxing. I can get my mind straight and think about something else. That is nice for a change.

This picture was made when we were in Germany this summer. We were in a Zoo and there they had this giant trees... He really loved going behind them.. when he came out I made this picture.

So a lot going on.. that needs my time. Hope I can be back soon.

Quiet in the house

I have the afternoon off.. and it is really quiet in the house. My little son is staying over with his grandpartens for two nights.. he was really looking forward to this. Since my dad was very ill and came home, Fabian wants to stay over there every weekend when it comes to him. Not that it is happening.. but every now and than he may. This morning I asked him.. what are you going to do tonight.. his eyes started glowing and said.. I am going to sleep with oma and opa tonight !! It is so sweet to see.

This afternoon off I want to do some scrapping. I saw this great sketch of Ingeborg and I would really like to make that. Start searching for photos and paper and see what comes from it !!

A couple of days ago I also made a layout again. The pic is almost a year old. Fabian turned four and said goodbye at the daycare to go to school. I made a present and put his phot on it. My dad made it.. so when he got ill.. I just could not put myself to it scrapping this photo. Now that he is better I finally scrapped this cute picture.

I made it with the Monster stew collection of Jillybean Soup.. just love it.. So nice for little guys ! Sometimes it is really hard to find cool stuff ( as Fabian says) for little boys.. but hey.. there is always something.

There is a storm going on here in The Netherlands.. I really don't like it when the wind goes so strong. Hopefully it will go by really soon.. and it will gets a bit better weather. Tommorrow Santa Claus ( Sinterklaas) will come to The Netherlands.. and hopefully it will stay dry when we go to the city to welcome him. We will see.

Not much scrapping lately

Since we came back from our little holiday I haven't been doin' much scrapping. Only the new challenge for the Scrappassion blog... that is all. Somehow I don't have the time to sit down and relax. Every day I say to myself.. come on..take some time and go scrapping.. but never get to it. Maybe because I have to go upstairs to my little room to do so. It is different. When everyting was downstairs I sat down more often than I do now.. and I really miss it. So have to kick myself and do so. I miss it...

Still have some things I can show.. first the secret scraplift on a messageboard I am a member of.. it was fun. Everyting turned out sooo different.. and not like the orginal lift.

These pictures where made when we were in Germany with my parents in law. There is this beautifull Zoo.. and I just tried with my camera.. just love these.

Tonight we had a talk at Fabian's school to hear how he is doing. It was so good to hear that he finally found his way after his difficult start at the beginning of this year. When my father got so ill it was hard for him to adjust at school because of everything happening around him and ofcourse also with him. He missed my dad like crazy and just could not concentrate on school. Now he is doing so much better.. making friends and learning like crazy. It feels good to see him like this. My little "moppie".

Finally I made pictures of the layouts I made at the Scrappassion weekend. It reallly took me long this time. But somehow I did not get to it during day time and in the evening I simply cannot make good pictures.

Here is the first one.

These are my two "moppies" what should I do without them. They really are the love of my life. I find this phot soooo sweet. They are never normal on a photo together.. so just love this one.

This photo is made a day before my father went to the hospital and got really, really sick. Long time I just could not look at this picture because it reminded me of everything that happened and was still hapening. Now I can look at it and remember how it was. We will visit this place not long from now. Together with my parents. That will be nice !!

This photo is from a fotoshoot we did with Karin. she really made us such nice pictures. Fabian is on it just the way he is. He loves to sick both tums up and say.. Mama is dit dubbel toppie !! Really don't know the translation. So when he did this I just started laughing.

There is more to show.. but than I would be an incredable long post.. so I will save some for next time.
Not long from now we finally will go away with my parents. We all can use it after all that has happened. We will go to the place where they where before my dad got so ill. Hope it will not be to emotional for all of us. We will see how it goed. I am really looking forward to it.

A new month... a new challenge over at Scrappassion This month Petronella came up with the challenge.. a real challenge for me because I never ever made something like this.
So let us made a totally white layout !! Real hard but it turned out it was a lot of fun.

It is a photo of my sweet cousin. I can remember the day she was born and now she already is so big and a real lady in every way. But sometimes still a little child who needs a lot of attention ! Just gotta love her !!!

This weekend we went away with the Scrappassion girls. All of us in a little house.. scrapping all weekend.. having fun.. laughing.. just soo great. We were with six and the others came on Saturday for one day. We did some brainstorming for a whole new year of Scrappassion and we came up with real nice challenges that will be fun for all of you to join. I am sure of that.
I even made 4 new layouts. Unfortunately it is to dark to make some photos of them It is so rainy over here.. so you have to wait before I can show them.

This lo is made some time ago. Love this photo of my little man. We were on holiday in Austria and in this park we were they had this gorgeus bank that is normally in Barcelona.. so he sat on it and made this picture. Just looove how he is laughing.

Last Friday my dad finally came home after being away for more than 8 months. At the beginning of this year we never thought this could happen to us. It was a real nightmare the first three months. But now the day finally came and he is at home again. He will be having fysiotherapie for three days a week.. but this week he will have "holiday" to adjust at home again. Really nice not to be running in the evening.. just eat together and than have real family time. I am gonna enjoy it for sure.. although it was weird last night.

My little tigger

Here he is my little tigger. We were at a party of his school and they could transform.. at first he really did not want to. But than our neighbour came by and had some on her face. That was really intresting and he decide he would like that too. So we went to sit. He wanted to be a tiger. Because that was really dangerous. It was so funny to see. It tikkeled so he made funny faces. Unfortunately I did not have my camera at that place.. so no pictures of that. When he was almost finished he had enough of sitting still all the time. But hey.. he made it. It looked really seet.. but you can see he was very tired.
When we came home he wanted me to get is off. He did not want to wear it in bed. I was so glad that I made photos of it. He looks very, very sweet !!!

Last week there was a great sketch at Creative Scrappers. I just had to make it. I also did last sunday but since the weather was so bad over here. I just couln't make a good picture of it. So today I finally did. This is the sketch :

And this is what I made of it. Photos of a walk from Fabian at school. So cute to see how they all did their best to run as much as they could to collect money.

This lo I also made for the submission of Creative Scrappers. Just cannot get enough of their sketches. They just are so lovely. At home I have another one lying on my desk. Need to take a picture of it so I can place it on my blog. But the last couple of days it is really rainy here in HOlland... so the pictures that I took are really horrible. This weekend they finally expect some nice weather so hopefully I can take one than !! That would be nice. It is made with their latest sketch.
Probably I won't make it to their team.. but I still dream of making it. Would be tooo awesome !!!

I have been productive with scrapping.. but because of the reason above I cannot show more at the time. So there will follow more.

My dad is really going strong. He is already climbing stairs now with help of crutches and that really goes well. He even walked without help from anything and that is really going the right way. He wants to get home at the end of this month. We are sooo hoping he will make it. When that happens he was almost away for 9 months. A real long time to be away from home ofcourse. But we are sooo glad he still is with us. It could have been so different. Glad that is not the case. Now life is different too.. but that doesn't matter.. we adjust quiet quick.

Fabian is going good also. He has a blast at school and that is so important. Yesterday he was the helping hand of the teacher. They get little things to do.. like giving out the drinks and foods in the morning and so on. He really enjoys that. He got a sticker on his head and kept it there all day long. Sooo cute. Love to like at him when he is that way !!

Creative Scrappers.. .my submission

As you all know I submitted for the Creative Scrappers Design Team.. just made new lay outs for them with their fab sketches. I finally got some pictures from my hubby when he was young. It took me a real long time to get them.. and now I finally got them.

When I saw the sketch...... this one....I just knew what i wanted to make of it. Just gotta love it.
The paper and the photos just match so very well. My hubby was a lovely little guy I think !!!

I am so in the mood for scrapping.. but am at work.. so really have to wait till tonight.. when I am probably to tired to sit down :-((( Well will see. When I go home I first have to pick up my son and than we will go the "startparty" of his school. It will be from 5 p.m till 7 p.m. Don't know if we will stay he whole time. depends on how much fun it is for him and he wants to stay.
Completely new for me.. so let's see what happens. I don't have to go alone.. we will go with our little family. Ofcourse I will take my camera with me to take some piccies.

Ofcourse I also scrapped a bit. NOt much.. but just a little. This lo is from Jurgen his grandma and aunt from the US. Love the phote. They are so incredable cute togehter. When Biggi is over they have so much fun together. They are just always laughing. Could you tell Jurgen's grandma is already 93 years old !! She is sooo lovely.

Ohhhh boy.. I did it.. just send in my application for the Design Team of Creative Scrappers. I just thought.. why not.. when I never give it a try.. I will never get in a Design Team.. so I just send the mail out.. and now.. sit and wait till September 15th when they show us their new members. Would be awesome if I make it ofcourse !!!! But I will not get my hopes up to much. Will be dissapointed anyway when I don't make it.
They have such a great, awesome sketch challenge blog.. just love to make them.

Latley I haven't been productive with things I can show yet.. but here is one that I simply love. This picture is taken by talented Karin.. who is at my dad's rehabclinic. She really makes very nice piccies.. and I ask here if I could use this one. Just loved it.

My dad is really going to good way. He can walk with help of a rollator ( really don't know what this is in english) and he get's better in it every day. Yesterday he even played table tennis. Hopefully he can make his own goal.. getting home for good at the end of September.. that would be sooo great for all of us.

Nothing much to tell or to show

Lately I haven't been scrapping that much. I seem to have a lack of inspiration. After I came back. To bad.. because I really feel like scrapping. It is just so relaxing. Yesterday I sat down for ten minutes and than it seemed nothing.. so I quit again. Will try if I can make something tonight.

Before I went on holiday I made some stuff. So I can still show something :-))

This photo was made when we were on honeymoon in Eurodisney in 2003. Already 7 years ago. Time really flies. We were in one of the shops in the VIllage and this was in the top of the store. The photo is not really that good.. but just loved it. Still have to scrap a lot of Disney photos so there will follow a lot more I guess.

This is also an old photo. Also about 7 years ago. We went on this hiking tour in Austria. It was so hot that I just couldn't walk any further. So I stayed there and took my peace. It was really quiet.

Not a lot has happened lately. My dad is still going real good. They want him walking in six weeks. Hope they make it. Would be so great. This weekend he was at home for the first time the whole weekend. Came home on friday night and went back on sunday night. That was really great !!

Back from holiday

Soo... holidays are over overhere. Fabian is back to school again. Yesterday he really did not want to go. But when he was there.. it was fine again. This morning I saw that they got a chair with their name on it. I did not see that last school year. Maybe it is for the better.. don't why it is.. but it looks ok. Hope it will work out fine. He is kind of a shy guy when he is at school and wants to be friends with everybody. I know that it cannot be.. but he thinks he can. Hope he will be ok. I am always worried about that because of my past at school. Have to get ride of it. I really hope he will never be picked on the way I was.

During my holiday I did some scrapping but I still have to make pictures of it. Today it is a real dark day. It is raining since I woke up. So no good day to make pictures. So you will have to wait till the weather is better. Will do some scrapping today. What else should I do.. the house is clean..

This evening Fabian will have his first swimminglessons. He is very excited and so are we. Ofcourse I will take my camera with me to make some pictures. if they allow me to. Hope he will like it.

New Scrappassion Challenge

This monthe we have a great summer challenge. We had to make a canvas that gives us the summerfeeling.. and use the inside of the canvas. Really a great challenge. I normally don't use a canvas that often.. and when I use one.. I use it the "normal" way. So this was really nice.
This pictures of Fabian really give me the summerfeeling. Running around playing with water. The paper of Echo Park just is sooo right for it. Gotta love it.

Now it is standing at my dads at the rehabclinic. He loved it so much that I let him keep it to keep him holding his spirit ( which is not a problem by the way) He was at our home yesterday and we had a really lovely day.

Summer

For sometime we really had some hot weather overhere... I just was in the mood than to make a real summer lo. It was to hot outside to do something.. so I stayed inside because it was better there. These pictures were taken last year when we were on holiday in Austria. Fabian really love to play with water when it is hot and run around with a naked upperbody. When the sun shines he thinks he can do it.. even when it is not that warm. Funny little guy.

Today I have a day with peace and quiet. Fabian is with his grandma and Juergen is painting the outside of the house. So really nice here inside. No one who wants something from me. I really like that every now and than.

Tonight I will visit my dad. He is going so good. Was at home already two sundays and this sunday he will come home again. I really hope that in the near future he can come home for the whole weekend. That would be so great. He really works hard and the doctors are really statisfied with how he is doing. Now he can come in his wheelchair and out of it on his own with a kind of slide. He can also get in the car with this slide so we can get him ourself with the car and not depend on the wheelciartaxi. Let's hope he can come home forever real soon. It is already seven months now almost.

These photos are made when we were on honeymoon almost seven years ago. We do not care for long distance travel so we went to EuroDisney for our honeymoon. It was really nice and we want to go back with Fabian some day.

This award I became from Michelle. Really sweet of you girl !! I could use it. Should give it to people with a special reason. But the people I could think off already have it.
So it is for all the people that know for them themselves they deserve it.

Lately I did a secret scraplift on the SYM messageboard. Now we are all through and I can show the lo that I made. It is about my grandma. She isn't with us anymore for several years now. Still miss my grandmams ( both of them) I find it a very nice picture of her.

Today is a special day for us. My dad can come home for a several hours. The first time since six months. It will be great. Finally he will be in his own home again. Although it is only for some hours. For sure there will float some tears.. but think that is only normal. We will do some BBQ because the weather is also very nice. Hopefully from now on he can come home more often. That would be so nice !!

Here a picture of my son on Queens Day here in Holland. It is tradition that childeren can let balloons up in the morning. This year we went for the first. Now he is 4 years old and big enough to do such things. He made a hat at school and got a thing that makes noise.. so... off we were. He got two balloons and was so happy. Really love this photo. It looks like he has real big ears because he pulled his hat down so far that his ears became really silly. He is a real orange dude !!!!

Furter.. my life isn't that exciting in the moment. My son has schoolholiday and we are relaxing when I am not working. Meaning.. he plays outside a lot.. and mom does what she has to do.. some household and after that when I want to some scrapping or so. Tommorrow wiil be a whole of scrapping at my moms !! That really is a long time ago. We did not do that since my dad came in the hospital 6 months ago. So we are looking forward to that. Will be nice.

New Challenge Scrappassion blog !!

OVer at Scrappassion we have a new challenge.. because it is July already !! Time flies way to fast !! This month Monique came with the challenge. Make a layout in black and white with a black/white photo or make a layout in brown/white with a sepia photo. A real nice challenge although it can be though.. but that is the challenge.. and we scrappers need those.. Right ??!!

I used an old photo of my mum again. I just loooove these photo's. Here she is at school and had to pose this way. Just love it. So nice that my mum found me all these old piccies. There will be coming a lot more I think.

Since last week it is really incredible hot over here. It not funny anymore ! I cannot stand that heat. I sleep real bad at night which makes me tired during the day. Yesterday at work I really had a hard time. I could not keep my eyes open. Was so glad I could go home. So I stay inside a lot. Fabian loves to play outside and I let him. BIut he has to come in the shadow every 15 minutes or so for a couple of minutes. I find it to dangerous for him if he doesn't. Those little ones get a sunburn real quick even though I put suntan on him.
This afternoon they have a waterballet at school. He really cannot wait. He can bring his watergun and that really makes him happy.

Ofcourse I did some scrapping while being inside. It isn't that hot in my scraproom. Glad that it isn't.

This picture I really love.. these are the man closesest to my heart. My dad, my hubby and my uncle. We where hiking some years ago. My mum and I could not go further and they walked all the way to the top. It is not a real good picture.. but that does not matter.

We at scrappassion are looking for 1 CT member... unfortunately you must be from The Netherlands or from Belgium. Please take a look at this post and give it a try. We are really a nice group of women and love to be creative. It would be so nice if you could be a team member.

Lately I have been creative again. And I can show some stuff. I really tried some vintage.. I like what it became. Althought it is not my specialty. But that does not matter.

It is an old picture of my mum. They did not own this bike but everybody in the neighbourhood was on the bike. So this is a special memory for my mom. Really loved it when I got this photo.

I also found some old holiday pictures. Again you see my mum. We were walking and found this ruine. Love this picture of my mom.

There is more to show but I think I will save that for another post. Always nice to have pictures in a blogpost.
My dad is getting stronger everyday. So good to see. Yesterday he told that he can get his legs outside the bed himself but cannot get him self complety up yet. But that will come to. It makes me happy that things are going in the right direction. He is full of spirit ad tries his best. That is a real good thing.

Since the last time I wrote a lot has happend. My dad finally is in rehab. I am so happy about that. He is doing great and you see him getting better. Not that he is walking already but his legs are moving more everytime I see him and that really makes me happy !! He wants to go home so bad. I can understand that so well. He is already in the hospital for 5 motnhs. That is a long time.
Every now and than I can feel how tired I am cause of all the tention we had and all the driving around. But now we see improvement and everything seems more easy.

So more scrapping is done.. every now and than. As you know a couple of weeks ago we had a crop with the girls of the Scrappassion CT. It was really nice. Ingeborg gave us a package ( everyone the same) that we had to make a lo with. This is what I came up with. It was a real challenge for me.. I would never scrap with that I guess.

Than I made a funny layout of my son. He sometimes is one crazy little guy. He walks around our livingroom like this picture a lot. Just because he likes it.. hahaahah

I made some more lo's but I cannot show them yet because they are for challenges. And some of them I did not make piccies of. So for today this is it. Hope to be back soon.

New challenge at Scrappassion

Ria came up with the challenge this month. We had to make a vintage lo... boyyyyy... that is not what I do very often.. sometimes I try.. but not that often... so a real challenge for me.
Not only for me.. but for most of our group of CTers it was a challenge.. but I can tell you.. they all did well.

Scrappassion CT Call and CT Meeting

Yesterday we had our very first CT meeting from the Scrappassion blog. We never met eachother before. The only one I knew was Ria.. the rest I only knew from the blog and from the emails we send. So it was nice to finally see them in real life. I wasn't nervous at all. NOrmally I am when I meet "new" people.. but it all went so nice and easy. The girls are all very nice.. and just what I expected somehow.
We really did some nice cropping and talking and also some brainstorming for the blog for the future. We really came up with some very nice ideas. So keep looking at our blog to find out what !!!!

We also have a CT call going for one more CT member. I could be you ofcourse. It would be really nice if you would give it a try and become a member of our team. Just take a look at our blog to see what it takes to make a change. I am looking forward to see what you all made.

I am doing something I am not supposed to do. Blogging at work. I am sitting all alone in my department.. nobody here. Soooo lonely. That really is not nice. I really don't like it. But I am glad it does not happen that often.
So to get my mind of thing.. just do some blogging. Lately I have made some lo's but there are I few I cannot show because they are for some challenges. You have to be patient to see them. Others.. I still have to make some pics of them.

This one I can show. Fabian tried to ride.. but he did not know how. But with some patience he made it. So cute in my eyes.

My dad is getting better everyday. He is now waiting so that he can go to the rehabilition clinic. Hopefully there will be a space soon. That is closer to coming home again. I really want him home again. He can go downstairs now when they put him in a wheelchair. So that is a big change for him. But ofcourse.. he also want to go home. So let's cross our fingers that it can happen soon. Life can go back to "normal" even though it probably never will be the same again.

Going strong

Days fly.. like never before. We had four days off.. and now only the afternoon and evening are still left. Where did time go ????!!!!

My dad is going strong. He is getting stronger everyday. That is really good to see. Now he is waiting to go to the clinic to learn to walk again. It will be hard work for him.. but he really wants to so that is good. Motivation is ofcourse everything. Hopefully there will be a space soon !!

Lately I have done some scrapping to. My mood is getting back and I love to scrap in my little room upstairs. I made a great box for a collegaue of mine for his wedding but the album in it still has to be made. So nothing to show there.
Than I already finished the next challenge for the Scrappassion blog.. but.. you have to wait till I can show that.

My mom gave my some wonderfull old piccies of my family. Was thrilled. This one is from my dad on his sisters wedding.

Really like this photo. He looks so cute there. At his side is his niece. So no romance at that young age :-))

Than I finally scrapped some piccies of Fabian when we were on holiday in Belgium. The photos aren't that good but I just had to scrap them.

Yesterday we had a birthday of a collegaue of Jurgen. He celebrated his 25 b-day. Was very nice.. but I was really glad he had a room for us so we could stay to sleep. Was really nice. But also glad to be home again.
Now I am going to enjoy the rest of the sunday that is left over !!

Operation behind us.. and some more to show

Finnally the wound closing operation of my dad is behind us. It went very well and he feels good he says. That is so very nice to hear. After four months it is time that we can start to heal and than get him up and going again. It is so nerv racking. Never thought it would be that hard.
I notice that I really get very tired now that he is doing better. At my work I feel tired all the time and there is nothing coming out of me. Yeah there is.. but it should be more in my eyes. Think I just need some time off. Maybe Jurgen and I can get some time off at the end of the month. Just see how things will go with dad than. I really don't want my mom to be alone. She really needs the support. It is so hard on her to. You can see how tired she is in her face. And though she keeps going. I really admire that in her !!

Meanwhile I also did some scrapping.. although it goes slow. I need hours or days to get a layout done. Nothing for me.. since I am not such a slow scrapper. But every now and than my inspiration seems to be out. Yesterday evening I got some stuff downstairs ( I try to scrap in my " scraproom") but only the photos and one paper are on the cardstock.. maybe tonight I get some more done. Who knows.

New challenge Scrappassion

New month, new challenge. On the Scrappassion blog we have a new challenge. This month I was the one to came up with one. I wanted a challenge that was not too difficult. So I came up with..
Use white cardstock for the background, Use a borderpunch, stars ( not in the paper) and a pic of 13x18 cm. The above is what I made of it.
I thought it was fun and not so difficult this time. That is also nice sometimes.

You really did not found me blogging a lot lately. My dad is still in the hospital and it takes almost all my energy. In the evenening I just want to sit.. watch tv or just surf the internet doing nothing important.
This thursday he will get a woundclosing operation and we hope we have it all behind us then. He is nervous for it.. and so are my mum and I. But I am positive it will go ok.

Prima DT Call

Prima has a DT Call... thought.. why not.. let's enter.. so I am going to enter that call. Tonight I am going to look what I will send. Not that I will make a change but when I don't try.. I know for sure I will never be a Prima girl :-)))))

Prima heeft een DT call.. en ik dacht.. waarom niet.. laat ik eens mee doen. Ik ga gewoon mee doen. Vanavond ga ik eens kijken wat ik in zal zenden. Als ik het niet doe dan weet ik zeker dat ik geen kans maak en nooit een Prima girl zal zijn :-))))

Finally I have things to show. I got a litlle behind in making pictures of my work so I catched up a little bit. Will not place everything now.. will do that in the coming days. Always nice to show stuff.
Eindelijk heb ik ook dingen om te laten zien. Ik liep een beetje achter met het maken van foto's van mijn werk. Nu heb ik dat even gedaan. Ik laat niet gelijk alles zien.. iedere dag wat. Altijd leuk om dingen te laten zien.

En alweer hebben we April. Jeetje wat vliegt de tijd. Tijd weer voor een nieuwe challenge op het Scrappassion blog.
Deze maand een hele leuke verzonnen door Hanneke en Petronella. Hanneke had een advertentie voor ons uitgezocht waar we onze inspiratie uit moesten halen en Petronella verzon dat we daarbij een oude schoolfoto van ons zelf moesten gebruiken. Gelukkig had ik er net een van mijn moeder gekregen.. dus die kon ik mooi gebruiken.
Laat je inspiratie de vrije loop en doe vooral mee met deze leuke challenge. Je kunt een digi cadeaubon winnen of een GCT Schap voor de volgende keer. Altijd leuk natuurlijk.

Nieuwe challenge Scrappassion

Nieuwe maand, nieuwe challenge. Op het Scrappassion challengeblog hebben we weer een nieuwe challenge. Deze maand heeft Ingeborg hem verzonnen. Hij was best wel pittig. Ze kwam met een aftelchallenge. Echt super om te doen.
We moesten gebruiken :

5 bloemen
4 stempels
3 design papiertjes
2 foto's
en 1 titel bestaande uit een woord.

Dit heb ik er van gemaakt. Ga snel naar het Scrappassion blog om de rest van de uitwerkingen te zien van het CT. Allemaal even super.

Creative Scrappers sketch

Eindelijk na lange tijd heb ik weer wat te laten zien. Nadat mijn papa in het ziekenhuis is gekomen, heb ik de eerste weken weinig gescrapt. Nu kom ik weer een beetje op gang omdat mijn papa nu ook weer wat beter gaat. Hij is er nog lang niet.. maar de artsen zeggen dat het ziektebeeld laat zien dat hij beter wordt. En daar vertrouw ik op.
Daardoor komt de zin om te scrappen ook weer terug. Heerlijk.. want het is en blijft een heerlijke uitlaatklep.
Wat foto's uitgezocht van "niet" mensen.. maar paddestoelen en een lief kalfje. Voor het kalfje heb ik de sketch van Creative Scrappers gebruikt van afgelopen zondag. Die vond ik echt super leuk.
Beauty of Nature is een lift.. weet alleen niet meer waar ik het idee gezien heb. Vond het super leuk.. en het hielp me weer lekker op weg.

Natuurlijk moest Fabian ook gescrapt worden. Foto's meer dan genoeg natuurlijk van mijn moppie.

Scrappassion Challenge

Vanaf 1 februari is er op het Scrappassion blog weer een leuke lift. Ria heeft een mooie lo uitgekozen om te liften.
We zouden het super vinden als jullie allemaal mee deden. Helaas van mij deze keer geen uitwerking omdat mijn vader ernstig ziek in het ziekenhuis ligt en mijn scrapmood ver weg is.
